Delete Your InnerCompass Account
⚠️ Important: What Happens When You Delete Your Account
When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently deleted within 30 days:
- Your user profile and account information
- All journal entries and spiritual content
- Meditation sessions and activity history
- Dream journal entries
- Spiritual insights and guidance history
- All user-generated content within the app
Exception: Transaction and payment records required by law may be retained according to legal requirements.
How to Delete Your Account
Method 1: Through the App (Recommended)
- Open the InnerCompass app on your device
- Tap the "Settings" icon in the bottom navigation
- Scroll down to the "Actions" section
- Tap "Delete Account" (red button below "Sign Out")
- Read the warning message carefully
- Tap "Delete My Account" to confirm
- Your account and all data will be permanently deleted
Method 2: By Email Request
- Send an email to: wisekidsstudios@gmail.com
- Include the following information in your email:
- Subject line: "Request to Delete InnerCompass Account"
- Your account email address
- Your full name (as registered)
- Confirmation that you want to permanently delete your account
- We will respond within 48 hours to confirm your account deletion request
- Your account and all associated data will be deleted within 30 days
What Data Is Deleted
When you delete your InnerCompass account, the following data types are permanently removed:
User Account Data
- Email address and account credentials
- Name and profile information
- Authentication tokens and session data
- Subscription status and payment history
- App preferences and settings
Content and Activity Data
- All spiritual journal entries
- Dream journal recordings and analyses
- Meditation session data
- Guided meditation progress and history
- Spiritual insights and AI-generated guidance
- Activity participation records
- Personal notes and reflections
Data Retention Exceptions
The following data may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:
- Financial Records: Subscription purchase records, payment transactions, and refund information may be retained for tax and accounting purposes
- Legal Compliance: Data that we are legally required to retain (e.g., for tax, accounting, or legal obligations)
- Anonymized Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized usage data that cannot be linked to your identity
Immediate vs. Delayed Deletion
Immediate Deletion (Available Now):
- When you delete your account through the app, your account is immediately deactivated
- You will no longer be able to sign in or access your account
- Your user profile and content are immediately removed from active systems
Permanent Deletion (Within 30 Days):
- All data is permanently removed from our databases within 30 days of your deletion request
- This includes data in backups and archival systems
- You will receive a confirmation email when permanent deletion is complete
Reactivation and Recovery
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once your account is deleted:
- You cannot recover your journal entries, dreams, or spiritual content
- You cannot reactivate your account
- You will need to create a new account if you wish to use InnerCompass again
- All your previous data and progress will be lost
Request Data Deletion Without Account Deletion
If you wish to delete specific data without deleting your entire account, you can:
- Delete individual journal entries from within the app
- Clear meditation session history in your profile settings
- Remove specific spiritual activities from your history
- Contact us at wisekidsstudios@gmail.com to request deletion of specific data types
Please note that account-level data (profile, preferences, subscription status) cannot be partially deleted.
